Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add the diced tomatoes (with juice), oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Combine the cooked spaghetti with the turkey mixture and mix well.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
