Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sake, mirin, miso paste, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Place the sliced beef in a zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the beef from the marinade and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until nicely charred and cooked to your preference.
  5. While the beef is grilling, toss the sliced bell pepper, zucchini, and onion in a little olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill the vegetables until tender and slightly charred, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Serve the grilled beef over the vegetables, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
