Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of cooked bacon
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup crushed tortilla chips
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mash the avocado and mix in lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste to make the guacamole.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet. Top each with two slices of cheddar cheese.
  4. Add the crispy bacon and a generous spoonful of guacamole on top of the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle crushed tortilla chips over the guacamole for added crunch.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
