Ingredients:

  • 4 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the crispy bacon pieces. Let it cool slightly before transferring to a blender or food processor.
  5. Blend the bacon jam until it reaches your desired consistency (smooth or chunky) and set aside.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard together until well combined. Season with salt to taste.
