Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas until well mixed.
  3. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then stir to combine.
  5. Mix in the flour and cinnamon gently until just incorporated. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, reserving a few for topping.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle a few chocolate chips on top, then add the remaining batter. Swirl the top with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved walnuts on top for added crunch.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
