Ingredients:

  • 500g minced beef
  • 1 medium beetroot, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 leaves of lettuce
  • Olive oil for grilling

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, grated beetroot, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with olive oil.
  4. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a beef and beetroot patty, a slice of tomato, and then the top half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
