Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the remaining vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and the pepper is tender.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 2 minutes until bright green.
  5. Return the beef to the pan. Pour in the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and beef broth. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
