Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup ripe mango, diced
  • 2-3 habanero peppers, seeds removed and chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the wings out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  4. While the wings are baking, prepare the mango habanero sauce. In a blender, combine the diced mango, habanero peppers, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  5. Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the mango habanero sauce until fully coated.
  6. Return the sauced wings to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to caramelize the sauce slightly.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional mango or lime wedges if desired.
