Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup toffee bits

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the mixture, and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter.
  6. Sprinkle half of the toffee bits over the caramel layer, then pour the remaining batter on top.
  7. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top and sprinkle with the rest of the toffee bits.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. While the cake is baking, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Once the cake has cooled, slice it in half horizontally and spread the whipped cream on the bottom half. Top with additional caramel sauce if desired.
  10. Place the top half of the cake back on and serve.
