Ingredients:

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 package chocolate pudding mix (instant)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 can mixed fruit in syrup (drained)
  • 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip (optional for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, chocolate pudding mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Once the cake has cooled, top with drained mixed fruit, spreading it evenly across the surface.
