Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together rolled oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
