  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sprite
  • 1/2 cup Fanta
  • 1/4 cup Coke
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Coke (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest (optional for extra flavor)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the Sprite, Fanta, and Coke. Mix until just combined. (Add orange zest if desired for extra flavor.)
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. While the cake is baking, prepare the cola glaze by mixing powdered sugar with 2 tablespoons of Coke until smooth.
  9. Once the cake is done, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  10. Drizzle the cola glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
