Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup fresh arugula
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomatoes, pickles, and cheese

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the garlic aioli by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
