Ingredients:

  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for grilling

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing.
  3. Brush the grill with olive oil and place the patties on it. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.
  4. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty after flipping, and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the ketchup and mustard together to create a tangy sauce.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Assemble the burgers: spread the mustard-ketchup blend on the bottom bun, add the lettuce, patty with melted cheese, tomato slice, pickles, and extra onions. Top with the other half of the bun.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
