Ingredients:

  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a rectangular glass baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the blueberries and blackberries into the cream cheese mixture, being careful not to break the berries.
  4. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the cream cheese and berry mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll the dough from the wide end towards the point, enclosing the filling completely.
  7. Place the rolled crescent rolls in the greased baking pan, leaving a little space between each roll.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash, then brush it over the tops of the crescent rolls.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm.
