Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh mulberry leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  2. While the oil is heating, prepare the mulberry leaves by ensuring they are completely dry to avoid splattering.
  3. Once the oil is hot, carefully add a few mulberry leaves at a time to the oil, frying them for about 30-60 seconds or until they become crispy.
  4. Use a slotted spoon to remove the leaves from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. While the chips are still warm, sprinkle them with sea salt and optional seasonings like garlic powder and smoked paprika for added flavor.
  6. Allow the chips to cool slightly before serving.
