Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup colored sugar or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
