Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cracked or fiber oat cereal
  • 1/4 cup alfalfa powder
  • 1/4 cup oat milk
  • 2 tablespoons lard
  • 1 teaspoon apple pectin
  • 1/2 teaspoon guar gum
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cracked oat cereal, alfalfa powder, apple pectin, guar gum, and salt. Mix well until evenly distributed.
  2. In a separate bowl, melt the lard and then mix in the oat milk until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a thick dough forms. If using, add the sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a microwave-safe dish, pressing it down firmly to create an even layer.
  5. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes, checking at 3 minutes for doneness. The mixture should be set but still soft.
