  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Optional: mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and green bell peppers to the skillet and sauté until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Slice the sub rolls lengthwise, but not all the way through, and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Divide the steak and vegetable mixture evenly among the sub rolls.
  8. Top each filled sub with 2 slices of provolone cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and add optional mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomato if desired. Serve hot.
