Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate flavor)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries or raspberries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the unsweetened applesauce, cocoa powder, and honey or maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the rolled oats, protein powder, baking powder, and salt to the wet ingredients. Stir until well combined.
  4. Fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped strawberries or raspberries gently until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and enjoy!
