Ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Stir in the molasses and apple cider vinegar, mixing well to combine.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet, tossing to coat them in the glaze. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
