Ingredients:

  • 200g pasta (spaghetti or penne)
  • 250g minced beef or pork
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium cucumber, diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup pasta sauce (marinara or your choice)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the minced meat to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Pour in the pasta sauce and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat the noodles with the sauce and meat mixture. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and evenly distributed.
  6. For the cucumber salad, combine diced cucumber, lemon juice, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the pasta hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired, alongside the cucumber salad.
