Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the asparagus to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  4. Push the asparagus to one side of the skillet and add the shrimp. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Combine the shrimp and asparagus in the skillet, add the cooked bacon, and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss everything together to combine.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
