  • 1 box gingerbread cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and gingerbread cake mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture and blend until smooth.
