Ingredients:

  • 1 cup low-carb flour (such as almond flour or coconut flour)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sugar substitute (like erythritol or stevia)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup rose water
  • 1 cup water
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the low-carb flour, yogurt, baking powder, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Divide the dough into small balls, ensuring they are smooth and free of cracks.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the dough balls, frying them until they turn golden brown on all sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In a separate saucepan, combine water and sugar substitute, bringing it to a boil. Add rose water and cook for an additional 5 minutes to create a syrup.
  5. Once the fried balls are cool, soak them in the warm syrup for at least 30 minutes before serving to absorb the flavors.
