  • 1 cup fresh mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon dried Sagan Dailya
  • 1 tablespoon dried hawthorn berries
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosehips
  • 1 tablespoon dried mint leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Juice and zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the dried Sagan Dailya, hawthorn berries, rosehips, mint leaves, and water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  2. Allow the mixture to steep for about 15 minutes, then strain the liquid into a bowl, discarding the solids.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the mixed berries, orange juice, orange zest, and lemon juice. If desired, add honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
  4. If you prefer a thicker consistency, mix cornstarch with a little cold water to create a slurry, then stir it into the herbal infusion. Heat gently until thickened.
  5. Pour the herbal infusion over the berry mixture and gently toss to combine.
  6. Let the dessert sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
