Ingredients:

  • 3 cups white wheat flour
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine white wheat flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar.
  3. Mix until a dough begins to form. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan and cover it again to rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
