Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs beef ribs
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together honey, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme to create the glaze.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the beef ribs on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the ribs from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.
  5. Return the ribs to the skillet and pour the glaze over them, ensuring they are well-coated.
  6. Cover the skillet with a lid or aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Cook for 3 hours, basting the ribs with the glaze every hour.
  7. After 3 hours, remove the cover and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Bake for an additional 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite sides.
