Ingredients:

  • 250 g haloumi cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or oregano) for garnish
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the haloumi cheese into thick pieces (about 1 cm).
  3. In a small bowl, mix honey with chili flakes and lemon juice. Set aside.
  4. Brush the haloumi slices with olive oil on both sides.
  5. Grill the haloumi for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
