Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon culinary lavender buds
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the lemon zest, culinary lavender, vanilla extract, and fresh lemon juice to the butter mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together. Do not overmix.
  5. Roll the dough into a log shape, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
