Ingredients:

  • 2 cups atta flour
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the atta flour, sea salt, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and warm water gradually, mixing until a dough begins to form.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  5. After resting, divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and puffed up.
