Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fruit pulp (such as strawberry, mango, or banana)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole milk and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Add the fruit pulp and vanilla extract (if using) to the milk mixture. Stir until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice-surround container. Make sure to leave some space at the top, as the mixture will expand as it freezes.
  4. Fill a larger container with ice and salt (rock salt or sea salt works best) to create an ice bath.
  5. Place the ice-surround container into the ice bath and cover it with a lid or plastic wrap.
  6. Stir the mixture every 15-20 minutes for the first hour to help aerate it and achieve a smoother texture.
  7. Continue freezing for about 3-4 hours, or until the ice cream is firm and scoopable.
  8. Serve immediately or store in the freezer for later enjoyment.
