Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ginger

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, cream cheese, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger until smooth.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Dollop the pumpkin cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl again to create a marbled effect.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
