Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel whey protein powder
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, for added crunch)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, salted caramel whey protein powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the almond milk, honey or maple syrup, applesauce, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until everything is fully incorporated. If using, fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan and press down firmly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
  7. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
