Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Add the minced garlic and diced bell peppers to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until the peppers are tender.
  3. Stir in the smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another minute to combine the flavors.
  4. Add the rice to the skillet, stirring to mix with the beef and spices.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and has absorbed the liquid.
  6. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
