Ingredients:

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 can (15 oz) baked beans
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the canned baked beans and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Meanwhile, in a separate pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the rice, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  6. To serve, place a portion of rice on each plate, top with the baked beans and onions, and lay the pork chop on top. Garnish with fresh parsley.
