Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups pot roast juice
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until they are caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
  4. Pour in the pot roast juice and beef broth, then add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry, then stir it into the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
