Ingredients:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 cup stuffing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the stuffing mix, chicken broth, diced apple, chopped onion, sage, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the liquid.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut a pocket into each pork chop, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  4. Stuff each pork chop with the stuffing mixture, pressing down gently to pack it in.
  5. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the stuffed pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Add the butter to the skillet, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
