Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato ketchup, tomato sauce, and tomato puree over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the molasses, brown sugar, and white sugar until fully dissolved.
  3. Add the apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, mixing well.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the mustard, celery seed, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, hot sauce, liquid smoke, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Add the spice mixture to the saucepan and stir until well combined.
  6. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
