Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb steak (your choice of cut)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 4 medium potatoes (for fries)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Burger buns (optional for serving)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the steak with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of paprika. Grill or sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  3. While the steak is cooking, form the ground beef into burger patties, season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook the burger patties on the grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
  5. For the fries, wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. For the homemade ketchup, mix the ketchup with a dash of paprika and a pinch of garlic powder for an extra flavor boost.
  8. Serve the sliced steak and burger patties on a platter with fries on the side, and drizzle with the flavored ketchup. Add garnishes if desired.
