Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional, for decoration)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  4. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
  5. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
