Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs, skinless and boneless
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off excess. Grill or bake for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the mango yogurt sauce. In a bowl, mix diced mango, Greek yogurt, honey, and chopped cilantro until well combined.
  6. Serve the grilled tandoori chicken hot with the mango yogurt sauce and lemon wedges on the side.
