Ingredients:

  • 8 slices butterbread
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons margarine

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Cook the bacon in the skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In the same skillet, add a tablespoon of margarine and cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and slice into thin pieces.
  4. Spread margarine on one side of each slice of butterbread. On the unbuttered side, layer 2 slices of Swiss cheese, followed by a layer of chicken slices, 2 slices of bacon, and then another 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
  5. Top with another slice of butterbread, buttered side up.
  6. Grill the sandwich in the skillet over medium heat until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
  7. Slice each sandwich in half and serve warm.
