Ingredients:

  • 7.0 lbs Golden Light LME
  • 1.0 lbs Wheat Malt
  • 1.0 lbs Crystal Malt 10L
  • 0.5 lbs Crystal Malt 60L
  • 0.5 lbs Munich Malt
  • 0.5 lbs Carahell Malt (10-15L)
  • 0.75 lbs Chocolate Malt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flours, baking powder, salt, and all the malts until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips if using for extra richness.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
