  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant espresso powder (optional)
  • a pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, cornstarch, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the milk and heavy cream, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
