Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Aluminum foil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your wood smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the shrimp and asparagus to the bowl, tossing to coat everything evenly with the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Lay out a large piece of aluminum foil, and place the shrimp and asparagus in the center.
  5. Fold the foil over the shrimp and asparagus, crimping the edges to create a sealed packet.
  6. Place the foil pack on the smoker grates and close the lid.
