Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup soy oil
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp distilled vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp caramel color
  • 1 tsp hickory smoke flavor
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp mustard flour
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp xanthan gum
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together soy oil, tomato paste, distilled vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, caramel color, hickory smoke flavor, garlic powder, mustard flour, black pepper, salt, xanthan gum, and water until smooth.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated in the marinade.
  4. Place the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden and crispy.
